Measure & Quote

If you've decided that you'd like one of our experienced staff to visit your home to perform an obligation free measure & quotation, the best way to arrange a suitable time is to contact us on 6280 5362 or to visit our shop in person. Before you make arrangements, it will help if you've thought about the following things:

•Do you want us to bring particular samples with us when we measure?

If so, have a think about what look you're trying to create for each window. Do you want sheers for privacy? Are you considering aluminum or wooden venetian blinds? What type of colour scheme are you after?

•Do you know what type of window dressing you're looking for?

Different window dressings require us to take different measurements, so if you know you'd like a holland blind or a pair of lined curtains with a cotton sheer on a double track, let us know in advance so we can take the appropriate measurements and allowances. Of course there's no problem if you haven't decided yet - just let us know and we'll be sure to measure to keep all your options open.

•Is there anything else we should know?

This may sound silly, but think about what you're likely to do in that room down the track so we can make sure your window dressings work around your plans. For instance, if you are hanging a roman blind to block out the light coming through the window behind your TV, consider whether you may want to install wall-mounted home theater speakers on that wall in the future. If you do, it will be much easier if we allow for the size of your speakers before we make and hang your blind, rather than having to move the track and adjust the blind in the future.

Once you're ready, just contact us to arrange a time for a measure and quote and we'll take it from there. Once we've been to measure and provide you with in-home advice, we will prepare a comprehensive quotation for you based upon the fabrics you've chosen. Note that, for our regional clients outside the Canberra/Queanbeyan metropolitan area, we will charge $50 for your measure and quote appointment to cover our travel costs. This amount is fully refundable off the cost of your quote should you choose to go ahead.

If you're unable to come home during work hours, we are more than happy to visit you before or after work - we make appointments from about 7:30am until 5:30pm Monday through Friday.
